![]() Alexandria, VA 22305 USA 703-845-0547 Cameron Davidson, a twenty-five year resident of the Washington DC metro area, is an award-winning aerial and portrait photographer. His images have illustrated stories in numerous publications including Vanity Fair, National Geographic, Preservation, Virginia Living, and Smithsonian Magazines. His environmental work with organizations like Ducks Unlimited and Audubon Magazine is ongoing and was most recently recognized with the Environmental Issues award from Nature’s Best Magazine for his photo essay on mountain top removal coal mining. The award-winning image is on exhibit at the Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History until May, 2009. Cameron’s portraits have appeared in venues like USA Today and Air & Space Magazines, as well as in campaigns for Virginia Tourism and the annual reports for Clipper Windpower, Dominion Virginia Power and United Rentals. His personal portraiture project is as the volunteer photographer for an NGO in Haiti where he documents both people and ongoing humanitarian aid projects. Cameron has a great love of flying and a fascination with the aerial view of abstract forms created by both natural and anthropogenic forces. In this vein, he is currently finishing a book encompassing a twenty-year project celebrating the beauty and fragility of the Chesapeake Bay watershed.
